Congratulations Metro Rotary Chili Chefs!

Congratulations to the Metro Rotarians who represented us very well on February 19 in the annual Rootin’ Tootin’ Chili Cookoff to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Columbia.  A special thank you to cooks Scott Heck, Casey Buckman and John Stringer, servers Karen BrownBill Costello and Ron Bodenstab and logistic king Jim Sharrock! They placed FIRST in their flight!

Per chef Scott, between $53k and $55k was raised to benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs!  Also, as an interesting note, there were 60 chili teams, and most teams had 2 roasters which equals around 7-8 gallons per team.  Most teams ran out of chili, so estimations are that over 450 GALLONS of chili were consumed overall!
