Rotary for Life
You may be familiar with organ transplantation and the important role it plays in saving lives. Multiple organs are now able to be transplanted, and the need is greater every day.
There is a serious shortage of organs, both locally, statewide and nationally. For many, this means undergoing difficult, stressful and expensive treatment and sometimes waiting for years. While a small percentage of people get the chance for an extended life through successful transplantation, many do not survive the wait for a suitable organ.
Rotarians are taking an active role in educating the public about the importance of organ donations. To see what steps are being planned by local Rotarians, please view these documents.
