Welcome to Columbia Metro Rotary!
If you are visiting this website then you are probably either already a member of the Columbia Metro Rotary Club or are someone who is interested in “finding opportunities” for “making a difference” in our community, state, nation, and the world. These two phrases, the theme for the 2020-21 Rotary year, Rotary Opens Opportunity, and the theme for the 2017-18 year, Rotary: Making A Difference, (which was my previous year as club President), are great summaries of what Rotary is all about.
The members of Columbia Metro Rotary have had a long history of doing their part through active involvement and support of service projects and humanitarian organizations from the local to international level. I invite all of you to again come along for the ride as we continue those efforts in the year ahead.
If you are a visitor to our website, we hope your review will inspire you to visit our club. Yes, the experience will be a bit different from normal as we deal with the issues we face from COVID-19. We began meeting in person again on July 1 at the Columbia Country Club, and will continue to do so Wednesdays from 12-1 PM as situations allow. The country club is located at 2210 Country Club Drive, just east of Old Highway 63 North. Please click here for directions. Our weekly greeters will be there to welcome you, answer your questions, and introduce you to others, all with social distancing in mind for everyone’s safety. We also post upcoming programs on-line, so when you see one that interests you, come join us! You are also welcome to join us for any of our fellowship events, which are also posted to this site. Just introduce yourself, and you will be introduced in return!
We will try to take the challenges of the current times and turn them into opportunities. Working together we will have another great year of fun, fellowship, and service!
